Southern Caucus? The Mission of The Southern Caucus Website is to Help Southerners Learn How To Go on the Offensive Against the Washington, State & Local Political Establishment to Defend Dixie & Restore Limited Constitutional Government
Heritage Defense - The Southern Caucus is a political web site dedicated to helping individual Southerners defend the proud history of the Confederacy and celebrate our forefathers sacrifices & beliefs in state sovereignty & limited constitutional government. We are a non membership organization as there are already many good Southern organizations defending Dixie including The Sons of Confederate Veterans, The League of the South, Heritage Preservation Association and growing numbers of conservative, pro South political candidates in the Republican Party, independent state Southern political parties and other third party efforts including the Constitution, Libertarian & Reform parties. Looking Toward the Future - Although we join in the celebration of the glorious past of Dixie and the old Confederacy, our vision is primarily concerned with the future of Dixie as we overcome the problems of a new century and a new millennium. While rigid, top down organizations had their place in the 20th century political climate of the American closed two party system, this political action and structure will soon become obsolete. The 21st century will be a time of devolution in news, politics and finance as action by single individuals and decentralized confederated groups will through the explosion in information and free internet communications render the existing "old style" political power structure increasingly ineffective, irrelevant and impotent.Election Victories Not Party Building - Our political goal is to see pro Southern Heritage & State Sovereignty candidates running in many political races across Dixie in all political parties and non partisan elections. We favor candidate participation in debates, radio & TV and press interviews in order to advance the objectives of all the Southern people. We will endorse and support individual candidates not national political parties and will work with any political, heritage or party entity that advances the cause of constitutional government, Southern prosperity, rights and heritage for all the people of Dixie in an open, responsive and democratic manner. Political Tools Not Control - We will offer the Southern people, political tools, ideas and activities to defend Dixie and promote the return to state sovereignty & political liberty from "an "out of control" Washington federal government. The Southern Caucus will promote individual action rather than building "just another Confederate organization". Our goal is to expand the political and lobbying resources of the Southern people at a decentralized local level rather than building a top down organization. Again, here in Dixie, recent heritage defeats mean we must change our political and lobbying activities not create additional organizations. Voluntary, No Dues Or Organization To Join - There are no local chapters, dues or membership requirements, no national organization, orders or directives from the "on high" rather the Southern Caucus is a voluntary association of Southerners of every race, color, creed and religion working together and individually for our Southland. We are an internet based political action tool, speakers bureau and Southern political leadership resource available to all conservative, pro liberty Southerners of good will. Freedom of Action - Of course, individual, local and state groups of supporters and independent organizations may in time coordinate activities, programs and political campaigns together but they will be totally independent of The Southern Caucus. We seek individual freedom of action not control, Southern Victory not a "leadership cult", a voluntary association in a Christian sprit of working together not power building and infighting. We will support pro South candidates of all political parties. We Dare To Defend
Our Rights - We believe that in the new 21st century, its time to dust off
the time honored, constitutional right of secession in an open discussion and
debate. This right of constitutional, democratic, state by state secession is
the best leverage productive Southerners and Westerners have to force the closed
two party political establishment to return our rights, freedoms and
liberties back to the Southern people and all productive Americans across
the United States. It is important to remember that Dixie does not suffer alone
under the oppressive yoke of Washington DC. Every region, every state,
every people are losing their constitutional rights and liberties to an
"out of control" Washington federal government. The believe the 2000
election map published by USA Today is a defining moment in US politics as it
related to the great divide in the United States of the liberal East & West
