The Southern Party of South Carolina Needs Your Help Today! Southerners from across Dixie have a unique opportunity to make a loud statement in South Carolina to the leadership of both the Democrat and Republican parties by helping to place the Southern Party of South Carolina permanently on the ballot. Permanent ballot access requires that 10,000 registered voters sign a petition to place the party on the ballot and that the party run a statewide candidate every 4 years. Permanent ballot access for the Southern Party would generate a media event that would go all across the United States as this would be the first time a pro Southern independence/heritage party has attained statewide ballot position since 1860. Although the Southern Party of South Carolina membership has gathered over the last 24 months around 12,000 signatures of registered voters, many will not be approved because of a change in address, incomplete address and other bureaucratic barriers put in place by the two party monopoly in control of South Carolina and the nation. Remember it is Democratic and GOP party hacks who will carefully review the signatures in each county just looking for reasons to disallow signatures.Due to the long length of the petition drive, the Southern Party of South Carolina will need about 5,000 more signatures to assure enough approved petition signers for ballot access and they only get one chance to turn in the existing signatures. For this reason and due to time constraints, they have made the decision to utilize the services of a paid, professional petition drive organization and they need to raise at least $6,000 to pay for additional required signatures. I don't believe we could spend better money than this $6,000 to send the message around the world that Southerners are sick and tired of being taken advantage of by both political parties. Please check out The Southern Party of South Carolina website and consider sending them a contribution to help pay for the ballot access drive petition campaign. Remember most third party ballot requirements in every Southern state except for South Carolina also require the third party to meet very difficult vote percentages or else, the ballot access drive must be repeated every 4 years. Here, we do it once, and we are on the ballot permanently. Please support this effort in South Carolina.
