Edgerton has marched through the States of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia carrying a Confederate Flag; and WHEREAS this trip is being made to raise awareness in the publics mind of the vicious and escalating assault on our Confederate heritage and to raise money for the SCV Heritage Defense Fund and the SLRC; and WHEREAS H.K. Edgerton has reached the great State of Alabama on his March Across Dixie; and WHEREAS H.K. Edgerton will spend several weeks walking across Alabama, the Heart of Dixie, to reach his final destination in Texas; and WHEREAS H.K. Edgerton will visit the Tallassee Armory Reenactment, witness first hand along his route, assaults on our Confederate Veterans Monument in Montgomery and the Forrest Monument in Selma THEREFORE, I, David Allen, Commander of the Alabama Division Sons of Confederate Veterans welcome you to the Great State of Alabama.
