Let every
Southerner proud of our Southern heritage & Southern Rights stand with Maurice
in "OUR BATTLE" against these anti-South, Multi-National Corporations. They want
to erase our history and our symbols from the face of the earth. Send your money
and support to Maurice Today!
How many of these "giant
supermarket chains" are South Carolina owned firms? Let's see now Wal-Mart &
Sam's Club are based in Arkansas, Bi-Lo is owned by
Royal Ahold based in the
Netherlands, Food Lion is owned by
Delhaize America Inc. in turn owned by the Delhaize Group
based in Belgium,
Harris-Teeter is owned by the Ruddick Corporation based in Charlotte NC, Kroger
is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Piggly
Wiggly is owned by Fleming
Companies Inc. based in TX and OK, Publix and Winn-Dixie are based in
Florida. How many of these corporate chain giants that have decided "all at
about the same time" with no collusion
to remove Maurice's sauce are really South Carolina owned and operated
companies? NONE - ZERO!

FOLKS: Maurice has stepped up to the plate and his
legal expenses are fixing to go through the roof. Taking on 9 big grocery store
chains is about the gutsiest thing a businessman can do. The SLRC has been
actively supporting and advising Maurice's litigation team and has agreed to
assist Maurice with coordinating legal research, investigation and fund raising.
Price tag for victory on this case can easily be in excess of $1,000,000.00
Let's get to work and help make this a victory for Maurice and all of us! Don't
let Maurice's team go into action without ammo. Praise the Lord and pass the
ammunition!!!!!

BESSINGER SUES GROCERY
STORE GIANTS
Attorneys Glen LaForce of Hilton Head Island and Clifford Koon of Lexington
filed suit today in the Court of Common Pleas in Lexington, South Carolina, on
behalf of Maurice Bessinger against nine corporate grocery chains for violations
of the South Carolina Unfair Trade Practices Act. Named as Defendants in the
lawsuit are Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Bi-Lo, Food Lion, Harris-Teeter, Kroger,
Piggly Wiggly, Publix, and Winn-Dixie.
After carrying Mr. Bessinger’s barbeque products in their stores for many years,
these corporate grocery chains all decided to discontinue Mr. Bessinger’s
products in the fall of last year after Mr. Bessinger’s political views in
support of the Confederate Flag received statewide publicity.
The South Carolina Unfair Trade Practices Act prohibits anyone in the state from
taking any action in the field of business or commerce, which is offensive to
public policy.
The attorneys for Mr. Bessinger argue that there is no public policy in South
Carolina more fundamental than freedom of speech. Any businessman or woman in
South Carolina should be free to express their opinion without fear of reprisal
against their livelihood. This case is completely about freedom of speech. It is
undisputed that Mr. Bessinger’s barbeque products were popular and of the
highest quality. The decision to remove his products from the shelves of these
corporate Defendants’ stores was made solely because his expressed and
publicized views on current events in the state were not considered to be
“politically correctâ€
