Southern Party
of Georgia Chairman
Responds to Greg Kay, Editor of the Southern Party News Latest Attack!
12 July 2001
Ladies and Gentlemen of Georgia, and throughout Dixie:
It has unfortunately become necessary to issue this statement as a means of upholding the
honor and integrity of the Southern Party of Georgia against falsehoods put out by those who are jealous of our accomplishments and
flustered by their own mediocrity. It is a sad state of affairs, and I regret that this is required.
A bit of history is in order. At one time, the Southern Party of Georgia was connected with the ‘national’ Southern Party. Without too much
irrelevant detail, there had been disagreements and even a fracturing of the States over the
organization and administration of the ‘national’ body. Our Forefathers’ principles, which we strive to uphold, call for a limited role
for any central governance. When the leadership of the ‘national’ Southern Party began to act in a manner at odds with these principles, several State
Parties voiced objection. Each of these State Parties in turn was then disaffiliated by the ‘national’ Party through increasingly dubious
maneuverings.
First, the Southern Party of Texas was disaffiliated because they dared assert their sovereignty. The Southern Party of North Carolina called for a
public listing of the tally of the Southern Party Executive Committee vote to disaffiliate Texas. None was forthcoming. In short order, North
Carolina was then disaffiliated! Our own State, Georgia, was then the casualty of the most unscrupulous actions of them all – we were not even
subject to a disaffiliation vote! It was simply noticed one day that all references to the Southern Party of Georgia had been surreptitiously removed
from the ‘national’ website! The link to the Southern Party of Georgia website was gone, the listing for Georgia in the table of State Parties was
changed to “currently organizing†| |
