Sir,
My first stop on the internet everyday is Dixie Daily News.
Your site is a must for every Southron Nationalist/Regionalist who wants to stay on the cutting edge of the movement.
You do a great job of picking good articles and listing excellent links.  I enjoy and use the quotes section all the time.
Keep up the great work!
Warm Southron regards,

Thank you for your kind comments and they are especially appreciated after some I've received, (grin). I also enjoy
The Sovereign Southron. Best, Ron

 Hi Ron,
I just read you last batch of letters and have a comment on a couple
of them.   I was disappointed in the statement that James Aldridge made about
losing respect for us Southerners. Surely if he gained that respect by studying
what was done to the South during and After the war, he knows that the yankee government has been trying to cover up what they did by teaching propaganda and outright lies to southern school children for 137 years. The teachers were not allowed to teach any version of history except the yankee version, and made heros out of yankee war criminals like Lincoln, Sherman, and Grant. The children whose parents are responsible enough to teach them the truth, are ridiculed, threatened and even punished because they know the
truth and are proud to honor their ancestors. When other children see this mistreatment at the hands of teachers, school officials, and grubby politicians, they fear it will happen to them, and it's always easier to join the majority, isn't it? But it could be that many of those types you spoke of, are yankee transplants that did not have the good sense you did before you came South. Don't lose the respect you have for the South,
Join us in the fight to regain the independence our ancestors fought for. All of us
have not surrendered.

As for that fool jon frank. We can always use him as a bad example. Letters like his are always good for another 8 or 10 new members in one Southern Organization or another. Deo Vindici.  Sorry for being so long. Gary W. Hearon, Jones Alabama

Gary:
Yes I agree, while some Southerners have surrendered and are hiding out, more and more proud Southerners and other Americans have had enough and we are fighting for the South and a return to limited constitutional government whatever the cost. - Ron

Gods and Generals

On Saturday evening, Feb. 24th some friends and I
attended a premier showing of the movie "Gods and Generals". We were quite excited about the film, as we all love the history of the Civil War.
We were surprised and delighted to see a display had been set up in the lobby by the Sons of Confederate Veterans. A gentleman in Confederate costume was holding the Confederate Battle Flag. Others were dressed in costumes of the era.
A fairly large crowd had formed and individuals were asking questions about the Civil War in paticular the reasons it was fought. The manager was thanking the group leader for such an informative, and succesful display. We were assured that the display would be available after the movie.
After enjoying the movie we returned to the lobby , the display had been dismantled. When we inquired, the theater manager informed us that two black ladies had voiced a complaint about the presence of the flag . He had also recieved two negative phone calls.
Was it fair that four complaints were allowed to interfere with the interest and enjoyment of this display. It was most educational! Would the outcome be the same if a display on Black Heritage had been presented? "Whose rights have been violated?"

Dear Cecil & Judy:
Thank you for standing up for Dixie out in Colorado. Have other readers seen this kind of stuff where the movie has been playing? A year or so ago, Southern Caucus Chairman Doug Spicer and myself were out in Colorado and discovered our flag flying in Silverton, Colorado at an elevation of over 9,0000 feet. I believe this may be the highest elevation Confederate Flag, flying in the U.S., have you seen others out in Colorado. Best, Ron

Sir:
I looked forward to seeing what you have to say about FreeSouth.org. Would you please share your opinion on the wisdom/value/point of starting up this organization? Thank you!
Deo Vindice,
John Taylor

Dear John:
While I'm perfectly happy with our existing organizations and question the need for a new organization, we do need more activism, confrontation and going on the offensive against our enemies and far less talking, theorizing and defensive actions.  I don't believe we can retreat ourselves to victory. So for me, I welcome their efforts and will on occasion support and publicize what they are doing and maybe even join them for some events in the future. Friendly competition is good and as a believer in the free-market of goods, services, ideas and Southern heritage and nationalist organizations, the more the merrier. Still, I believe their greatest contribution to Dixie, might not be their efforts but rather the redoubling of efforts by other Southern organizations and publications in order to successfully compete with the FreeSouth.org effort. Time will tell but I believe in competition for organizations I support like the LS and SCV and for other news sites that compete with Dixie Daily News. Competition makes us all work harder and in the final analysis, victory for Dixie is far more important than the success or failure of any or all organizations, news sites or Southern leaders. This is my personal opinion. - Ron
